Jungle Female/Spayed 2 yrs Jungle is a nice girl who was surrendered to us because she was not adjusting to a new baby; she had always used a litter box with no problem, but once the baby came she began a typical behavior of upset cats- inappropriate elimination. She's been perfect here, so we think she just doesn't want to live with children. Indoors-only, please, and no young kids! Available images-cats/jungle.jpg Buckley Male/Neutered 4 yrs Buckley is a wonderful cat; he is playful, loves attention, easy going, and does well with other kitties. We've had him here at the shelter for over one year. He's demonstrative without being pushy, and is a great companion without being too needy. Buckley is on a very inexpensive daily medication for an easily upset tummy; he may need to be on medication for life, or might be able to go off it when he's in a stable envirnoment. Your vet can help you monitor him. He's doing great here! Buckley is four years old. He'd be a great cat for older kids. Available images-cats/buckley.jpg Flick Female/Spayed 2 yrs Little Flick was a mystery when she arrived here- she had so much trauma to her face we thought for sure she had been hit by a car. She was alert and friendly, and as injured as she was, allowed us to clean her up and check her out. It turned out her tongue was the only part of her injured (although she did need a canine tooth pulled)- we're not sure how it happened, whether it was a chemical burn or what, but the first half of her tongue was so badly injured we thought for sure she'd lose it. But she's a tough little thing, and with medication and a great foster parent, she is good as new! Flick wants to be the only kitty in the household; she wants all your attention to herself! She also needs to be always indoors to keep her safe. She has an almost imperceptible wobble to her gait, either caused by her injury or perhaps she was born with a mild case of cellubellar hyperplasia, where the mom cat has contracted feline distemper while pregnant. The kittens are born healthy, but it affects their motor function. Flick's is very slight. Kids over twelve, please; she can be somewhat independent at times! Flick is two years. We're looking for indoor homes for these kitties, where they will always be safe. Mia loves to explore, and loves to play with her brother. Mia is eight months old. (They don't have to be adopted together, but it would be great if they could be.) Kids 12 and up, please. Available images-cats/mia.jpg Paco Male/Neutered 2 yrs This kitty's photos do not do him justice! You will never know that he is the nicest, most demonstrative kitty ever! He never stops purring! He's friendly, he's entertaining, and we just love him. He came to be with us after someone discovered him in their car after driving across town! So we want this fellow to live safely indoors, to never again go globe trotting. He can have window sills to sit in, toys to pounce on, and laps to curl up in. Do yourself a favor and come see what a great fellow this kitty is! Paco is two years old. He would be appropriate for kids of all ages. What is interesting about him is if he's in a smaller environment, like a cage, he just blossoms! He's silly and demonstrative, rolls over for attention and just acts nutty! We know what a great cat Guido will be when he's finally in his own home. Once he's had a chance to settle and get used to things, he's going to be a great cat. He may always be nervous of new things, or loud noises, and that's the main reason we want him always indoors; to keep him happy and safe. Kids over 12, please. He was hand tame, but shy. It was obvious he wanted to trust people; he just needed to see we were really alright. Now he seeks out attention, and loves to get petted! He will roll over in his kitty bed, rubbing and purring, all antics to get you to pet him! He still will be nervous in new situations, so we want him to always to be safely indoors. Kids 12 and up would be best; he might hide if around too much commotion. He's really a nice kitty- come meet this handsome fellow! We think she's a bit on the mature side, although she looks in great shape. We're looking for an indoor, calm household for her- she doesn't seem like she'd be too interested in a very active environment. Juliette seems much more the couch potato kind of kitty, just the type to keep you company on a chilly night watching TV! We're guessing her to be about ten years old. Come meet this nice girl! She'll need some time to adjust to her new home, and when she's comfortable, she will be a very affectionate kittie. She's pretty overwhelmed here at the shelter, but we think there's a very cute cat just waiting to emerge in this girl. She has been cute with us, rolling over and being friendly; she'll need an adopter who will keep her safely indoors, a quiet environment (no young kids), and a patient owner who will give her time to blossom. She will make someone the best companion; she loves attention! She rolls over and ducks her head for pets. Her previous owners moved and left this sweet girl behind; all she needs is a caring, loving home to call her own. Allie would do best indoors only; she would be too frightened to be outdoors. He was brought to us by good samaritans who were concerned for him. He's friendly and nice, is doing okay in our communal cat rooms- just hiding a bit, pretty normal under the circumstances.
