OUR PROMISE TO THE CITIZENS OF PETALUMA:
We will advocate for all animals. We will respond quickly and appropriately to all animal related emergencies. We will enforce Federal, State and Petaluma Municipal Codes that pertain to the Care, Control, Treatment and Licensing of domestic animals and wildlife, with the priority of protecting Public Safety and Animal Welfare. We will always protect Petaluma’s animals.

Answer: Come to the Animal Shelter first and confirm your animal is actually there. In the event they are at the shelter staff members will assist you in completing all the necessary paperwork to redeem your animal. - What are the Petaluma Animal Shelter hours of business?
Answer: We are open for business Tuesdays through Fridays 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - If you have any additional questions you may call the Animal Control Officer at (707) 778-4396 ext #2.
